Sport

Not just two and four-wheeled motor vehicles, but much more besides, between the sea and the hinterland.

Misano is known worldwide as the cradle of motorcycling, but it also offers facilities and experiences for all lovers of professional and amateur physical activity.

Here are the reasons why Misano is called the capital of sport:

An international circuit, many tracks to live the Riders’ Land Experience

A beach and hinterland to discover on foot or by two and four wheels

The only land where you can play and run in close contact with champions

Beach sports

Misano is spread across a vast territory that starts from the beach and extends inland. The quintessential sand of the Romagna Riviera is synonymous with beach volleyball and beach tennis, which can be practised on the numerous courts at the beach establishments along the coast: from Misano Brasile to Portoverde, the beach nets, as they are called by enthusiasts, stretch as far as the eye can see.
A stone's throw from the beach in the northern area, you'll find the Misano Sporting Club, an excellent sports centre with tennis courts and the cradle of national paddle, where champions competing.

The Engine Park

Heading inland and travelling along Via del Carro, you arrive in the hamlet of Santamonica, a legendary spot for motorsport enthusiasts, as well as for athletics and football fans.
In the district dedicated to champions of two and four wheels, there are indeed two sports facilities:
The Santamonica stadium (recognisable by its dragon-like roof) with an athletics track that often hosts youth meetings and the natural grass football pitch which hosts international youth tournaments in the summer and, for the rest of the year, as well as the local team, also hosts training sessions for the national football teams.
The Misano World Circuit owes its surge in media attention to the San Marino and Riviera MotoGP Grand Prix, which it has hosted again since 2007. Dedicated to the late Marco Simoncelli, it comprises an international circuit which, in addition to hosting international races, offers enthusiasts the chance to take to the track on their own motorbikes, and a track (the Misanino) for both competitive and amateur karting races, as well as for motard, minimotard and pitbike events.

An inland area to discover by bicycle

A splendid cycle path (Misano has 30 km of cycle paths) connects the northern area of Misano Brazil to the Portoverde district, which develops around the picturesque Marina. It represents the year-round starting point for excursions into the hinterland. .
We can find walking routes for both Nordic walking and trekking, as well as beautiful routes for cyclists and mountain bike enthusiasts.
From Dal Conca Village, located on the border line between Portoverde and Cattolica, where a Bike Park has been created, marked paths intertwine, leading through the Misano World Circuit towards the Conca Valley with dirt and asphalt roads, and towards the promontory of the San Bartolo natural park, where we can find the legendary "Via Panoramica" which runs along the coast from above, offering a splendid landscape that joins the entire Romagna coast.

The City of Sport

Misano is therefore the city of sport, the right place for those who love an active holiday and want to experience thrills and adrenaline.
The opportunities to practise every type of sport are endless, but if you still have any doubts or would like further information, we'd be happy to answer them.
