MISANO PIANO FESTIVAL

The thirty-third edition of the opened successfully on Tuesday 5th August MISANO PIANO FESTIVAL, the Malatestiano Piano Festival, which since 1993 has shone a spotlight on the magnificent keyboard instrument, listening to its voice through the unforgettable interpretations of the many guest musicians who have taken part in the event. With the support of the Municipality of Misano Adriatico, a steadfast primary supporter of the event, and under the artistic direction of the Alfredo Speranza Association of Rimini, over its long history the Festival has presented more than two hundred and fifty programmes and artists, becoming a much-anticipated fixture for summer audiences on the Riviera. Since its inception, the Misano Festival has been a driving force behind initiatives aimed at embracing multiple realities and locations within the province of Rimini, transcending borders and local insularity with a view to building a broader cultural project: the thirty-year support of the Municipality of Gradara, the collaboration with the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana of Rimini and the Imola International Academy Foundation, the participation of ISAL, the Festival's ethical sponsor, along with many other cooperating entities, stand as living testimony to this.

Following the success of the first three events Wednesday 20th August, at 21:15 in the Church of SS. Biagio and Erasmo in Misano Monte the “SUMMER PLAN” will come to an end. The star will be the twenty-year-old pianist RUBEN XHAFERI, child prodigy, winner in 2024 of the National Arts Prize and First Prize in major national and international competitions. He will be the performer of a rare programme, as fascinating as it is demanding in terms of technique, dedicated to FREDERIC CHOPIN'S PIANO. Ruben Xhaferi will perform the 24 Preludes Op. 28 and the 12 Etudes Op. 10 by F. Chopin (1810-1849), “the boldest and proudest poetic spirit of the age”. The programme will be introduced at 20.30 by Prof. Paolo Piantieri, welcoming the interested public into the area outside the Church.
